SUWAガラスの里｜県下最大級のガラスのミュージアム 体験工房～セレクトショップ ワインと米粉パンのレストラン（スリエ）長野県諏訪市
が諏訪市の助成のもとすすめてらっしゃる"SUWAガラスのテロワール〜SUWAガラスの今物語に添えて〜"というプロジェクトに参加させていただいて青木飴色の作品を一つ作らせていただきました。
リサーチの際にはガラスの里の代表でいらっしゃる岩波尚宏様に諏訪の色々なところを見せていただきました。また岩波様は旧中山道下諏訪宿の「本陣岩波家」２８代目当主でいらっしゃり、大変興味深い参勤交代の話やお庭を見せていただいたりしました。あれだけの歴史を守ってらっしゃるのすごすぎるのでぜひみなさんも本陣にあそびにいってみてください。
作品が今後どこでご覧いただけることになるかは決定後随時情報更新しようと思います。

リサーチによって諏訪の地は古くから独特な信仰、文化が歴史的に育まれてきていることが分かりました。
高い位置から諏訪湖を眺めた際には湖から光が立ち上がって空に突き抜けていくようなイメージが思い浮かびました。そのイメージは古くからの信仰や文化が息づく諏訪の歴史のイメージと重なりました。
今回の作品は私がシリーズで作っている「地と大気」という作品のひとつとして制作することにしました。
「地と大気」は鉄とガラスで作っているシリーズです。下の鉄の塊は地球の中にある鉄のイメージから、上の透明なガラスは地上の大気のイメージからでてきています。いつものシリーズは四角い形でつくっているのですが、今回は諏訪湖や諏訪大社の御柱祭での木の形から着想を得て円柱の形で作品を作りました。
諏訪の地で光の柱が地から天へ突き抜けてゆくような印象を、作品で表現しました。

It's an art work related to Suwa district,Japan.
Suwa is famous for the lake Suwa, and the festival of Suwa Shrine. At the Festival of Suwa shrine, people slide with huge "tree" and then they set up the trees around the shrine. Like these, Suwa districts have lots of old, unique history and faith culture in Japan. And these things makes me think the image of the pillar of light. The shape of the lake Suwa, and the old faith culture, etc... So I made this art work as my art work series "Earth and Air". For this work, I made the work shape as a pillar. The iron is an image of the central of the earth, and casted iron is an image of the air of the district Suwa, and an image from the tree of festival of Suwa Shrine.
